- In languages other than Russian there is a misunderstanding about what the armor is made of. In Russian, English titanium (a metal) is spelled as "titan" without the Neo-Latin -ium suffix, suggesting that the Russian "titanium", of which the armor is made of, is in fact a fictional alloy and the English titanium proper is only one of its components.
Localizations of description of the armor in all other officially translated languages, including English, erroneously suggest that titanium itself (a metal) is actually an alloy and that the armor is purely made out of it.- According to English language customs the directly translated name of the fictional material would be "titaniumium".
